Books and Movies

I've not had enough of these the last five or six years so my 'sort of' New Year's Resolution' is to enjoy more books and movies this year.

Already in 2014 I have watched three movies.  Three might be more than I watched in all of 2013.  Maybe more than I watched in 2012 and 2013 put together.

     White House Down
     Meet the Fockers
     Identity Thief

Some movies I plan on seeing:

  Saving Mr. Banks
  Lone Survivor
  The Hunger Games
  Elysium
  Gravity
  The Prisoners (maybe ?)
  The Man of Steel
  Olympus Has Fallen
  Iron Man

 Will you suggest any others?

I was always a Streisand fan.
Himself, not so much.

oh . . . the way we were!

I have started a book list too.
I have not read one on this list but I am reading two other books currently.

suggested at 'A Year of Reading Sharon'  see more @ goodreads.com

To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee
Goodnight Moon & Where the Wild Things Are, Margaret Wise Brown and Maurice Sendak
My Sister's Keeper, Jodi Picoult
Mindset: the New Psychology of Success, Carol S Dweck
Ender's Game, Orson Scott Card
East of Eden, John Steinbeck
Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury
Gone with the Wind, Margaret Mitchell
The Simple Truths of Service, Kenneth H. Blanchard
The Fault in Our Stars, John Green
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Jonathan Safran Foer
Isaac's Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History, Erik Larson

There are more books on my list but I won't list those until I have read these.  I better 'git it in gear'.

That's quite a list!!! And you will struggle getting through "My sister's keeper". It's a real heart breaker. I may have to steal some books from this list. . . I'm so bored from all this crazy winter weather.

I loved Saving Mr. Banks! I just read the book, "Out of my Mind." It was a good one. "Captain Phillips" is a good movie too. It also has Tom Hanks in it.

I'm not sure why, but reading that you watched "Meet the Fockers" makes me giggle!

Hunger Games is great. I'm reading Twelve Years a Slave. It's interesting and now will want to see the movie. I definitely want to see Gravity & Captain Phillips.

Some others not on your list that I want to see are "American Hustle", "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Dallas Buyers Club".

I recently watched the new version of "The Great Gatsby" and loved that!
