Easter Day Treasure Hunt

Instead of hiding the Easter Eggs today, the Easter Bunny hid clues all around our yard.  Nana always worries, in an egg hunt, that some little one is not going to get as many eggs as the next person.  (I must get this from your Granny, as we, my siblings and I as children, didn't hunt eggs, we hunted bowls.  No, we didn't hunt baskets, we hunted bowls of eggs.  There were, surprisingly, (lol) just enough small cereal bowls of jelly beans & marshamallow eggs so that each child had one at the end of the hunt.  I think we knew that other children got more candy and more of an Easter Egg Hunt that we did, but I know I just felt lucky to get a bowl of candy all my own that I didn't have to share!).

So, today, the Small Frey and the Little Hofs, found and read clues, then took off running to the far regions of the yard to look for another clue.  There were about a dozen clues before they found the treasure at the end, but they enjoyed it so much, I wished later that I had written another 15 or 20!  It does a soul good to watch children working together for a common goal.  This has been an Easter Day Treasure Hunt.  This has been a Good Day.
