Spare Room

I think this room looks cool and inviting. I enjoy seeing the new beds in the Spare Room each time I walk by. When I got the beds, I was all prepared to take the "playroom" back upstairs but just about the very day I set the beds up here, Himself decided to take out the carpet from the third floor. We'll put some new flooring down this fall or winter -- and THEN I will set up the playroom/guest room.

Perfection

Dad grew this Dahlia. In fact, he's grown about a dozen of these this summer. They are huge! This one resides in a regular beer bottle so that will give you some idea of the size. He staked each plant, once they started blooming, because he could see they would have trouble holding their heads up in full bloom.

There are dahlias even larger than this beaut, called "dinner plate" dahlias. Even bigger!
